Description

History, Culture & Remembrance Budapest is home to one of Europe’s largest Jewish communities. On this 3-hour walking tour, we explore the Jewish District, uncovering layers of history from the Golden Age to the tragedy of the Holocaust. We will visit the “Jewish Triangle” and see the Dohány Street Great Synagogue (Europe’s largest) from the outside.
We walk through the streets of the former Ghetto, visiting memorials, hidden synagogues, and the Raoul Wallenberg Memorial Park. The area is also famous for its contrast: historic sites blend with vibrant ruin bars, street art, and farmers’ markets.
